The Role on Offer The Sport and Recreation Trainee supports the delivery of school sporting programs, events and Physical Education activities, helping to create positive and engaging experiences for students. This hands-on role provides valuable experience in sports administration, event coordination and program delivery, while assisting with the day-to-day operation of sporting facilities, equipment management and student participation initiatives. The trainee plays an important role in fostering school spirit, physical activity and student engagement through a wide range of sporting and recreational opportunities. Key Responsibilities Assist with the delivery of sport, recreation and physical activity programs while providing administrative support, record keeping and maintaining relevant systems and procedures. Support the coordination of camps, excursions, sporting events and student wellbeing initiatives. Assist with equipment and facility maintenance, inventory management and event preparation. Promote and support student participation in physical activity and school programs. Assist with the delivery and promotion of health, fitness and recreation activities. Undertake other duties as directed while contributing to a safe and positive school environment. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated individual who is eager to build a career in sport and recreation. You’ll bring a willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, along with a genuine commitment to contributing to a positive and inclusive environment. A Working with Children Check will be required prior to commencement. Interviews for shortlisted candidates are anticipated to be held at Sacred Heart College on Monday 16 November and Tuesday 17 November. Why do a Traineeship?
