This position will commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2027. The Role on Offer The Outdoor Education Trainee supports the delivery of engaging outdoor learning experiences that promote student participation, resilience, teamwork and personal growth. This hands-on role assists with the planning and coordination of camps, excursions and outdoor programs, while contributing to the safe and effective operation of outdoor education activities. The trainee plays an important role in preparing equipment, supporting logistics and ensuring students have positive and rewarding experiences in outdoor environments. Key Responsibilities Setting up for and supervising after school sports Organising umpires and coaches for sporting teams Cleaning and maintenance of storeroom, gym, equipment and asset register (including ordering equipment) Assist in the planning and organisation of carnivals and camps WHS risk management assessment of activities Attendance on and preparation activities for school camps and outdoor education activities including bushwalking/hiking Organise team kits (including score books, equipment and first aid) Entering teams and rosters into the Colleges Learning Management System - SEQTA Booking of transport for sporting activities Data entry for SATIS Carnivals Organising daily PE equipment Managing camping equipment and attending some outdoor education activities Communicate sporting cancellations / amendments to relevant parties What We’re Looking For We’re seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated individual who is eager to build a career in outdoor and recreation.
